BAILANDO CON SON SUBLIME GRAN RESERVA IRRESISTIBLE

HISTORY

In the year 2000, Jesse Herrero, leader and producer, reintroduced his band under its new name, SonSublime, formerly Sublime. Even in these present challenging times, SonSublime remains united and continues to cultivate and convey the authentic sound of the Cuban Charanga music. Some of you remember the Charanga fanaticism of the 70’s and 80’s, when this style of Cuban music hit its peak. This music is contagious and timeless. It is great to dance to, or just for listening. Sublime was born in 1975 in New York City and later recorded the super hit “Coqueta” released in 1977 by TR Records. Sublime continued to record three other albums with recognized recording labels, such as Roberto Torres’ Guajiro Records, Inc., a subsidiary of the SAR record label. In 1985 Sublime, as it was known then, took a recess. In 2000, Jesse Herrero put the band together and returned to the music scene under their new band name, SonSublime. Right after SonSublime came together in the year 2000, the band recorded its first production entitled, “Irresistible” released in 2001. To this date this recording continues to enjoy its popularity. Later in 2002 another collector’s recording album entitled “Gran Reserva” was launched. Their third production in 2006 “Bailando con SonSublime” has become another classic and is revered by thousands of fans around the world. SonSublime has toured Senegal West Africa, South America, Mexico, The United States and Europe and it has been recognized and awarded by the Charanguero Legends in Miami, Florida. SonSublime is a New York premiere authentic Cuban Charanga orchestra, delighted to perform our authentic Cuban sound for all audiences.
